Justin Bieber Got a New Neck Tattoo. His Mom Does Not Approve.

Justin Bieber has just debuted a brand new tattoo and his mom is not a fan.

On September 7, Justin unveiled his new ink via various posts on Instagram. Sitting on the right side of his neck, alongside his “Patience” tattoo, the latest addition to Justin’s already extensive ink collection is a long-stemmed rose done in black and white ink and single-needle style.

The artist behind Justin’s new rose is, once again, Dr. Woo. The LA-based tattooer is behind some of Justin’s most recent designs (and Hailey’s, too). “@_dr_woo_ thank you for the [rose,]” Justin wrote in his first post, which was followed by a small video of the actual tattooing process, and a third look the ink via a good ol’ selfie. Judging by his most recent IG photos, where the rose is clearly absent, it looks like Justin got the tattoo the same day the pics were posted or just shortly before.

Justin’s love for tattoos has been well-documented over the years. He’s covered in them (as we can clearly see that in DJ Khaled’s “POPSTAR” video). And while JB seems to be loving his new ink there is one person who isn’t as enthusiastic about it: His mother, Pattie Mallette.

As noted by Just Jared Jr., commenting under one of the posts Justin published on his IG, Pattie simply added: “Why 😭.” Emphasis on the crying emoji. And, well, that pretty much sums up the “moms and tattoos” universal feeling.

Justin might not be a tattoo noob but it seems like he’s forgotten a bit about aftercare after all these years. On September 8, just one day after unveiling and presumably getting it done, he was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with the ink in full display.

When you get a fresh tattoo, it’s highly recommended that you avoid sun exposure altogether for at least two weeks and ideally up to a month to aid the healing process. Even after they are completely healed, you should avoid exposing your tattoos to the sun or taking the necessary precautions to avoid complications such as premature fading – so, yes, that means, stocking up on SPF.
