Our Favorite Trends From Fall 2019 NYFW Shows

Now that NYFW is over, we’re wishing our bodies could be in two different places at once: somewhere on a beach getting a healthy dose of Vitamin D (because winter isn’t exactly our season) and ironically, fast-forwarding to fall 2019 so that we can wear all of our favorite trends from the runways.

Instead of leopard print, we’re pivoting to zebra. Suits don’t have to make us feel so buttoned up, they can be leather, wide, cut-out and glittery, according to Luar, Tibi, and Simon Miller. Collina Strada, Kim Shui, and Prabal Gurung showed us tie-dye is no longer just for craft projects at summer camp. Skip the neon yellow for vibrant oranges and purples and pastel greens like on the runways of Cushnie and Sies Marjan. Fleece, patchwork and quilted clothing can be both comfortable and chic, just look at Sandy Liang and Rachel Comey.

For us, trends are less about what you’re supposed to wear and more about things we loved and kept seeing over and over and over again. So, here’s a list of our favorites from this season.
